Telegram integration
for HubSpot.
Receive and reply to Telegram messages from HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk, with each conversation logged to its Contact and ticket. Send from Contact records, manage customer groups from Deals and Projects, and automate customer messages or employee alerts - including button messages that wait and branch on the response.
Four ways to use Telegram inside HubSpot.
Start with the job your team needs. Inbox, CRM-card, and group conversations use a channel-connected Support bot. Contact workflow messages and employee alerts can run without a Help Desk inbox.
Inbox and Help Desk
“Can our team receive and reply to Telegram messages from HubSpot?”
Every bot chat becomes a HubSpot thread, with the conversation logged to its contact and ticket.
Employee notifications
“Can a HubSpot workflow alert the record owner or another teammate on Telegram?”
A dedicated internal action notifies employees without exposing the message to customers.
Contact and group messages
“Can we message a Contact, or a Deal or Project group, from HubSpot?”
Send text, buttons, photos, and files to linked Contacts, or post updates to linked CRM groups.
Personal Telegram DMs
“Can we bring personal Telegram DMs into HubSpot and reply as ourselves?”
Telegram Business connects your own account. Clients never see or message a bot.
Use Telegram as a channel in HubSpot Inbox and Help Desk.
Customers message your bot and the conversation appears as a HubSpot thread. The first message creates or matches the Contact, the chat stays associated with its ticket and history, and agents reply from the same inbox they already use.
Tickets on your pipeline
Each new conversation can open a ticket on the pipeline, stage, and priority you choose, logged to the contact record.
Routing and assignment
Auto-assign Telegram threads to the right agent or team with the same routing rules as every other HubSpot channel.
Your full HubSpot toolset
Snippets, knowledge base articles, meeting links, and AI-assisted replies all work on Telegram threads.
Rich media both ways
Photos, documents, voice notes, and video flow in both directions. Inbound files import into HubSpot Files.
Contacts created on first message
First-time senders are matched or created automatically, with their Telegram ID stored on the record.
A bot per brand
Connect several bots and route each to its own inbox, with per-bot health checks and one-click repair.
Custom Help Desk channels require Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise and HubSpot Credits. Contact workflow sends and employee alerts require a Professional or Enterprise HubSpot product with workflow access, but not a Help Desk inbox.
Send Telegram notifications to employees from HubSpot workflows.
The Send Telegram Notification (internal) action alerts a selected teammate, the record owner, an internal group, or a combination - on Telegram, seconds after a Contact, Company, or Deal workflow fires. The customer never sees it. No Help Desk inbox is required.
- Alert the deal owner when a high-value deal is created
- Alert owners about priority Contacts and Deal-stage changes
- Teammates link once from an email invite: open, tap Start, done
- No phone numbers needed - and never sent to customers
New deal: {{dealname}} - ${{amount}}Send Telegram messages from HubSpot workflows - and wait for a button response.
Contact workflows can send text, photos, files, or a message with up to three buttons. The buttons action waits up to 24 hours for the Contact to tap, returns that choice to HubSpot, and resumes the same enrollment so the workflow can branch. Free-text replies do not resume this action. A Help Desk inbox is not required for these Contact actions.
- Appointment confirmations that reschedule themselves
- Onboarding nudges and order updates with {{property}} tokens
- Contracts, receipts, and product shots as photos or files
- No chat IDs - actions find the contact's linked chat automatically

Founders, consultants, and account managers often work from personal Telegram DMs. Connect your account through Telegram Business and those chats flow into HubSpot - replies you write in the inbox are sent back as you. Clients never see or message a bot, and Telegram no longer requires Premium to connect a business bot.
- Every client DM lands on the contact record
- Replies send from your account, not the bot
- Run a support bot and your personal connection side by side
- Set up in Telegram: Settings → Business → Chatbots
Send from Contact records. Run Telegram groups from Deals and Projects.
The Telegram card lets reps message a linked Contact without leaving the record. The Telegram Group card creates or links a shared customer group from a Deal, Project, Company, Ticket, or Contact, with messages synchronized into one HubSpot thread instead of copied into notes.
Send Telegram messages from a HubSpot Contact record
- Live status: no bot, not started yet, or active thread
- Personal invite link + QR binds the chat to this exact contact
- Recent messages inline, full history in a slide-in panel
- Send from the card - it mirrors to the inbox, no double-sends
Telegram groups linked to HubSpot Deals and Projects
- Create or link a Telegram group from the record in one tap
- Group messages sync into one HubSpot thread, names prefixed
- Workflows post stage changes and milestones to the group
- Works on deals, companies, tickets, contacts, and projects
One admin step: cards aren't added to record views automatically. In HubSpot, open a record, hit Customize → Card library, filter by app, and add them where your team works.
Five Telegram workflow actions for HubSpot.
All five live under Automation → Workflows and support HubSpot property tokens. Contact actions find the enrolled Contact's linked Telegram chat, the group action finds the group linked to the enrolled Contact, Company, Deal, Ticket, or Project, and the internal action resolves the selected teammate or record owner. No Telegram chat IDs are required in normal use. Follow the complete 2026 guide to connecting Telegram with HubSpot, or see Telegram and Notion workflow examples.
Send Telegram Message to Contact
Messages the enrolled contact. No chat ID to type - the app finds their linked chat and sends from the bot they already talk to.
Send Telegram message with buttons
Sends up to 3 buttons and waits up to 24 hours for the Contact to tap. Returns the button number, label, and value, or a no-response result.
Send Telegram photo or file
Sends an image or document from a public file URL, with an optional caption. Contracts, receipts, tickets, product shots.
Send Telegram Message to Group
Posts into the Telegram group linked to the enrolled CRM record, where employees and customers see the same update.
Send Telegram Notification (internal)
Alerts a teammate, the record owner, an internal group, or a combination - never the customer. Up to 10 recipients.
Workflow action tester
Check message configuration, delivery, outputs, timing, and raw JSON against a real Contact or Deal. Test the button wait-and-resume path in a live workflow.
The one Telegram rule.
A bot can only message someone who has started a chat with it first. That's Telegram's platform rule, and the app is built around it: this is opt-in messaging, not cold outreach.
- Every contact record hands you a ready-to-share invite link and QR
- Share t.me/your-bot in emails and landing pages to collect opt-ins
- Edit and translate the bot's welcome copy: your language, your words
They open the invite link or QR from the contact's Telegram card - it binds the chat to that exact record.
They share a phone number in the chat that matches the record.
Their Telegram ID is already stored on the record.
Anyone who messages the bot cold still becomes a contact - deliberate linking is what binds a chat to the right one.
What each capability needs.
The bot is free - @BotFather creates one in about a minute. Help Desk and CRM-record conversations use a channel-connected Support bot; outbound Contact actions and employee alerts can run without a HubSpot inbox.
All capabilities need an active Telegram for HubSpot subscription or trial. Custom Help Desk channels also require HubSpot Credits. Telegram's current platform documentation says connecting a business bot does not require Telegram Premium.
Live in four steps. No developer required.
