How to Integrate HubSpot Notifications with Telegram

Add the Telegram Bot to Your Channel:

  1. Open Telegram: Launch the Telegram app on your device.
  2. Search for the Bot: In the search bar, type @ReHubspotBot.
  3. Select the Bot: From the search results, click ReHubspotBot.
  4. Initiate the Bot: Click 'Start' or 'Add to Channel' to integrate the bot into your desired Telegram channel.

Configure Workflows in HubSpot:

  1. Access HubSpot: Return to your HubSpot portal.
  2. Navigate to Workflows: Head over to the 'Workflow' section and select your intended Workflow.
  3. Integrate Telegram: Scroll and locate the "Send Telegram Notification" option within the 1ClickTools actions.
  4. Enter Channel Details: In the 'ChannelID' field:

    Public Channels: Enter the Channel Name, ensuring it starts with an @. (e.g., if your channel is named "MyChannel", you'd enter @MyChannel).

    Private Channels: Input the Channel ID, which should begin with a -.

How to Get Your Telegram Channel Name or ID:

For Public Channels:

  1. Open Telegram: Access your intended channel in the app.
  2. Identify Channel Name: The channel's name is visible at the top. Use this as the Channel Name, prefixed with an @.

For Private Channels:

  1. Access Telegram Web: Open the Telegram web application in your preferred browser.
  2. Log In: Sign in and navigate to the desired private channel.
  3. Locate Channel ID in URL: The web address will resemble: https://web.telegram.org/k/#-XXXXXXXXX.
  4. The sequence following the # and starting with a - (like -XXXXXXXXX) represents your Channel ID.
