Zeelo is a global smart bus platform delivering carbon-neutral, emission-free transportation services. It operates in the UK, USA, and South Africa, and facilitates over 100k rides per month. Committed to reliable transportation that is cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly, Zeelo wanted to help customers estimate the full potential of its services at the earliest stage of decision-making.

Challenge

A Zeelo commuting program uses AI-powered algorithms to build a route map, plus historical analysis to translate mileage into vehicle emissions. That makes it possible to estimate how much money, CO2, and parking can be saved per client, route, or service.

The math behind it is heavy: complex calculations matched against ClimatePartner's emissions numbers. The challenge was to combine over 100 formulas into a single user-friendly calculator that gives quick answers to complex queries.

Solution

The build was guided by three objectives:

  1. Unify the formulas. Multiple interdependent scenarios were consolidated into a single website calculator, with the UI built in Vue.js.
  2. Create a pixel-perfect HubSpot CMS template. The layout leaves room for customization, so Zeelo can reuse the same template across different currencies.
  3. Integrate the form with HubSpot CRM. The website form collects only the relevant data and syncs contact details directly to the HubSpot CRM, where workflows automate marketing, sales, and service processes.

It took 4 weeks to develop the calculator and set up the web forms with full HubSpot CRM integration.
